i am trying to get into movie making, i want to record on film but i want it to record sound do any 8mm cameras record sound or do you have to record to a tape deck?

You have to record to a tape deck or some other sound recorder.
A lot of super 8 cameras were designed to record sound right on the film. Trouble is that you need a special film that has magnetic stripes along the edges. Kodak stopped making this kind of film 2 or 3 years back and there is no other source. Every now and then I hear of some company planning to tool up to make super 8 sound film but I don't think it has happened yet and I doubt if it ever will.
